Travis is the son of small business owners and a four year Veteran of the US Army where he served as a Scout Platoon Leader and Executive Officer with a combat deployment to Iraq in 2010-11. After the military, Travis led a team of consultants supporting the Enterprise sales division of a healthcare software company.

In 2018, he began a self-funded, partnered search resulting in Bear Capital's acquisition of American Patrols later that year. Since the acquisition, he has served as the President of American Patrols, where he is responsible for growth, customer relationships, and aircraft maintenance. Additionally, Bear Capital routinely invests in the Search asset class, and both partners thoroughly enjoy advising Search entrepreneurs.

Travis graduated with honors from the Dwight Look College of Engineering at Texas A&M University, and holds an MBA from Harvard Business School where he focused his studies on the management of smaller firms. He resides in Austin, TX with his wife and two children. They enjoy volunteering at their church, attending CrossFit classes, and spending time outdoors.
